Petworth House - Sunday 24th June 2018
Petworth House, is a National Trust property in West Sussex. Home to an extraordinary collection of art, this magnificent 17th century mansion stands as a monument to the evolving taste of one family over 900 years. Inspired by the Baroque Palaces of Europe, the house was rebuilt in the 17th-century with grand staterooms in order to display the family's wealth, taste and royal connections. These are saturated with internationally important paintings by artists such as Van Dyck, Reynolds, Titian and Turner. This year there is a special exhibition featuring the strong women who lived at Petworth and you will have an opportunity to visit the grounds and gardens.
