Three day tour in the Northwest - £265 per person (based on a minimum of 30 people going on the trip).

Completed Booking form and deposit of £50 per person required by 1st March.

Visiting the two Liverpool Cathedrals, Port Sunlight, & Lady Lever Art Gallery,Lowery Centre and Imperial War Museum for the North

Itinerary
Day I - We travel, by coach, from the Radlett area to Salford Quays, Manchester. Here
we will visit the Lowry Galleries, with a short introductory talk, and the Imperial War
Museum North. The Lowry Galleries are home to various works of L S Lowry alongside
contemporary exhibitions. Housed in a striking aluminium clad building, the IWM North
focuses on how war continues to shape lives. Late afternoon we continue to our hotel.
Dinner at our hotel.

Day 2 - Today we visit Port Sunlight Village and Museum and Lady Lever Art Gallery.
The model village of Port Sunlight was created by William Hesketh Lever in 1888 for
his Sunlight Soap factory workers. Here we take a guided tour of the village on board
our coach and have free time to explore the museum and Lady Lever Art Gallery, a
beautiful building now home to one of the UK's finest collections of fine and decorative
art. Return to our hotel for dinner.

Day 3 - After breakfast we travel into central Liverpool for our guided visits to the
city's two cathedrals. The Anglican Cathedral is Britain's biggest Cathedral and took 74
years to build, with the first foundation stone laid in 1954.  The modern Metropolitan
Cathedral opened in 1967 and features modern works of art and striking multi-coloured
windows. Originally conceived as a huge neo-gothic building, work was halted due to
pressures of war and rising costs and only the Lutyens Crypt was completed, the fine
brickworks and granite pillars can still be seen. There will be free time in the city (an
opportunity to visit the Walker Art Gallery should we wish) before commencing our
homeward journey.

The exact order of excursions may be subject to change.
