9 September 2018
Firle Place

This is an outstanding privately owned country house in Sussex that dates from the time of Henry VIII but was substantially remodelled in the 18th Century. It contains one of the most significant and historic private collections of old master paintings, furniture and porcelain in Southern England.
As Firle Place doesn’t open until the afternoon and has limited catering we will stop in near-by Lewes with its historic high street where you can have lunch.  If you wish you can also visit Lewes Castle and / or the Anne of Cleves House Museum.   Admission to these is not included in the price.

23 to 26 September 2018
Holiday

We plan to go to some of the historic and stately homes in Yorkshire. Staying in Harrogate, places we expect to go to include Chatsworth House, Castle Howard, Beningborough Hall and Salts Mill, home to a large collection of Hockney paintings.

21 October 2018
Ashmolean

The Ashmolean is the University of Oxford’s museum of art and archaeology, founded in 1683. It’s  world famous collections range from Egyptian mummies to contemporary art, including works from the Italian Renaissance, Pre-Raphaelites, Pissarro and Sickert.
